Hazardous Waste and Chemicals

Each year, even in today's state of the art technology and workplace safety environment, over 6,000 persons are killed on the job and about 3.6 million receive disabling injuries in the United States alone. Many more suffer unnecessary pain and discomfort from work-related injuries and illnesses. Hazardous waste and chemicals are part of this equation. This training program is designed to make you more aware of your job responsibilities when working with or using hazardous waste and chemicals. Much of the information will be a review, some information may be new to you, but it's important that you understand the information and put it into practice on a daily basis, no matter where you work or what job you perform.
Topics covered in this safety video include: Labels and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), definition of hazardous waste i.e. ignitable, corrosive, reactive, toxic, safety training, chemical hazard recognition, and safety tips when using, storing, handling, or disposing of hazardous waste and chemicals.
Program comes with a CD-ROM of written materials, including test questions and answers. English title also includes PowerPoint presentation.
