(11 min.) The program focuses on work permits, but they're designed for the safety of those working on a project or those people working near a particular project. The purpose of a permitting procedure is to make sure personnel and equipment are protected and safety procedures are communicated with all personnel, including contractors and is designed to establish uniform safety procedures throughout the entire work area.
