Bacteria and Disease Control

(10 min.) What is bacteria and how does it affect the janitorial and custodial professions? We're not going to get technical, but it is important to understand some basics about bacteria and disease control, particularly as it applies to cleaning.

Topics included in this safety video are: cleaning and sanitizing, bacteria, infections, contamination, protective clothing, low lying areas, miscellaneous clutter, dumpster lids, openings in the building, pipes passing through the walls to the inside of the building, bird nests, air louvers, lights on the outside of the buildings, broken walls and cracked floors, cabinets and other free standing units, personal hygiene and good housekeeping practices, bait stations, and glue boards.
