Homicide in the Workplace

Violence in the workplace happens in restaurants, post offices, convenience stores, manufacturing facilities, construction sites, delivery services, hospital, just about every workplace across the nation and in every country. This program is designed to explain what workplace violence is and more importantly how you can help prevent workplace violence and homicides in the workplace.

Topics included in this safety video are: personal security tips you can use at home, work, recreation, and anywhere else, homicide data, analysis of statistics, preventive measures, reviewing hiring practices, including a review of military records, verification of prior employment practices, and criminal record checks, developing profiles to recognize people who may be prone to violence, supervisor training in conflict resolution, communication skills, and team building skills, supervisor-peer review process with feedback from employees on supervisor leadership performance, the disciplinary process preventing or reducing the chances or robbery through proper security measures, good security measures, good customer service by retail employees, what to do if a robbery does occur, how to prevent assaults, awareness, and intervention.
