Stress Relief
(7 min.) Before learning how to relieve stress, you first have to understand what stress is and some of the problems stress can cause. Stress is the body's attempt to adjust to any changes in the environment; to be able to maintain a healthy balance in the body. Stress is our body's attempt to adapt or adjust to the environment for the purpose of maintaining the healthy state of the body. When any event occurs, which interrupts or interferes with the body's healthy functioning, the body goes into an arousal state called the General Adaptation Syndrome. It can also be called the stress response. Stress is our psychological and philological response to changes in our internal and external environments. The human brain doesn't always make the distinction between physical and psychological threats.
